Who Makes the Wines

I‘m not sure if I know of anyone who does not enjoy a glass of wine from time to time.  And if you’re like me, you may enjoy a good bottle of wine depending on the crowd you are with.  Recently I have had a lot of friends talking about traveling just for wine though.  At first I was just thinking that they meant going to Napa Valley, California and touring wineries, but they were talking large scale apparently.  For instance visiting other countries who are the top producers in wines.  The United States is actually the fourth largest maker of wine in the world, but like I said these friends want to go big.

A couple of these friends are taking a month trip to Europe to visit Italy, France, and then coming back through Spain to visit wineries all over those countries.  They will even make a stop in Argentina, the fifth largest wine producer in the world.  I must say it sounds like a great plan indeed.  I came across this infographic that shows the world’s top wine producers and consumers and I found it to be interesting.  You will too, I’m sure!
